The 12 principles of highly successful leaders

1.        Be true to character


What I believe this means is that you have to be true to yourself before anything. You have to have a good character. Being true to your character can be very different things. For example the way you interact with others you have to be a truthful person to them if they are doing the same. Like let’s say you have a best friend don’t lie to them about things that is not being a good friend that makes your character look very bad because they won’t be able to trust or tell you anything. Another example is stealing, you shouldn’t steal and then deny it that also makes you look bad and people won’t lend you nothing when you are in need. Last example is not choosing the right, if you aren’t being responsible, respectful, humble, loyal then you are automatically choosing the wrong. It becomes a habit to choose the wrong so when you think you are doing something positive you end up doing something bad because you are s used to it. I use this principle in my everyday life because I wouldn’t want anyone to lie to me if I’m being honest with them. I choose the right so it can become a habit.

2. Use Your Imagination


I like this principle because having a big imagination is very good. Using your imagination is good because you are more open minded about things and you figure ways out how to make things much better. Using your imagination might sound childish but it’s very good because you take people’s ideas as well. You can help out people in many ways like when they are having trouble doing a project you will help them out. Being creative is a good thing because you might get to explore new things. Every idea counts and I strongly believe that all of our ideas matter. I apply this to myself because using your imagination is a very good thing. With out imagination people would not be able to advance.

1.         Make a commitment to tell the truth
I really like this tip because you should always tell the truth no matter what it is. Small or little telling the truth is very important because it tells a lot about you. You should commit yourself until on your own you will tell the truth and only the truth.  What do you get out of lying nothing good all you get is more lies and a wrong path to success? When you commit to tell the truth it makes you a very CTR person. CTR is a good way to follow this tip because choosing the right consist to be honest, caring, responsible and so many wonderful things. For example, getting a tattoo, it’s better for you to be honest with your parents and telling them to take you, then to go to someone that has not experience and it will get badly infected and you lying to them that you feel fine when your hand or where ever you did the tattoo id infected.

2.        Tell someone about your commitment
You should tell a friend about how you commit to something so you can make them a better person. Better yet you should show then how you commit and how you successfully have achieved some of your goals by committing them. Instead of making bad decisions you should take a moment to thing what you want to do for your life and commit it. Help a friend achieve a goal anything that they want to that chooses the right. talk to an adult about your commitments and how you plan to achieve them so they can help you when they see you lack off.

3. Think before you give a dishonest answer, explanation, sarcasm, or reason.

When someone asks you to tell them how you honestly fell don’t be rude about it, you should be polite. You should be very polite because you do not know how other people will take it and it will lead to an argument. think before you give a dishonest answer
what i think this means is that when you know someone is doing wrong don't cus them out or judge them.

4. be careful of when and how you use exaggeration, sarcasm, or irony.

5. be careful not to twist the truth or leave out part of it.
 
I like this 5th tip because when you are being dishonest don’t blame others so you can cover up for yourself. When you are the telling the truth you shouldn’t add things that were not even true because that makes you become a liar and you will not be choosing the right. Be honest even though you get in trouble because being honest is the number one thing everyone should do. Don’t leave parts out the story so you won’t get in trouble. I like to always say if you had the courage to do something like that then you should have the courage to take the blame for your actions.  It’s better to tell the truth when you mess up then to lie about telling the truth. When you are telling the truth don’t lie you should just be straight forward with it. You should say it how it is.

6. Don't indulge in little white lies 

i am not sure what this means . what i think this means is that you shouldn't be part of little or big lies. What i believe indulge means is that you are being involved in a particular activity, typically an undesirable or something disapproval.

7. watch out for silent lies

8. when you catch yourself lying, throw your mouth into reverse.

9. Talk to yourself
I like this 9th tip because its really good to talk to yourself. no one knows you more than your own self. lets say per phase someone wants to argue and fight you over something that really doesn't matter, then just take a minute to calm and relax yourself before you do anything that will effect you later on. I use this 9th tip most of the time. since I have a short temper I like to talk myself out of it. I ask myself are the consequences going to be worth it at the end of the day. I would tell anyone that I know to use this tip because its guaranteed that it will work with anyone. this is also a part of choosing the right because you talk yourself out of bad influence things.

10. Treat yourself when you tell the truth

 you should always tell the truth and be happy about it because you are doing something good. choosing the right should be a 24/7 thing. it helps you be truthful with everyone and that is very important to do. if you tell the truth all the time then treat yourself. not only are you treating yourself but others are doing the same as well.

Key 1: clarity
  Brian Tracy
“Have vision. Determine what you want to be, or have in life. Have a sense of direction and know where you are going. If you do not have a clear specific goal in life, you are doomed forever to work for others who do.”

The first key by Brian Tracy is very powerful because you need to have clarity in order to successes in life. What I mean by that is that by wanting to accomplish a goal you must have to have a giddiness that helps you get to the goal. Like a good example can be the 100+ goals notebook. It is a good example because it helps you list the thing that you want to do and it just gives you motivation to start accomplishing one by one. It helps you set up the future little by little because you are the one setting up the goals that you desire to complete. The goals that you write down in the notebook are the ones you will do later on in life. Having clarify is like a structure all you have to do is built yourself into what you want to be when you get older and accomplish the goals. People that don’t have clarity are the ones that end up working for the ones that had clarity and that succeeded their dreams. It is really important to have clarity because I believe is the key in life it makes me think that if I don’t set something right now (goal) what well I do for myself in 5-10 years by now. I will start using this to accomplish my goals and end up or do what I most pursuit.

Key 2: Competence
"If you commit to excellence, opportunities will always come your way. The harder you work, the better you get."


This is a well said key, what it means to me is that if you commit to something good, you will end up with a positive result. Competence if you are not aware means when you are able to do something successfully or
efficiently. If you do well in anywhere you go you will get the best of things. The more effort that you put into something the more you will get out of it and the more you will successes. You benefit your own self because it all reflects on you. Doing good choices lead you to big opportunities in life and success will also come your way. Your effort is the key to your success because the more you put your all into the more you will get out. Commit yourself to positive terms. Commit yourself to big goals don’t settle for less, go bigger or just go home. Believe in yourself and be competence. Being competence leads you to do big things in life. Commit to yourself even though others won’t. Success on your own be your own boss your own everything. I will apply this key to my life. I believe this will help me become a better understandable person. What I like about this key is that it helps you understand what it is to be committed. Very excellent key from Brian Tracy.

Key 3Concentration
"Make the best use of your time. Ask yourself “Is this the best use of my time?” before you start anything."
Reflection:  I really like this key because it is letting people know that you should take your time in concentration. For example if you are at school and you are lacking off not doing your work, then you are not using your time wisely. You should ask yourself “is this the best use of my time?” your answer should be yes you need to make time for your education in order to succeed.  It’s really important to take your time in concentration and also your education. Before you do anything always ask yourself if it is the best use of your time. Choosing the right always consists of being concentration.

Key 4Common Sense

Reflection: common sense very good one. You might ask why well let me tell you if you are doing something absolute wrong you know that’s called common sense. In other words is it so obvious that is wrong but you still doing it. You should think thing through before you do anything and is wrong for yourself and for the people around you.  Example if there is a group of people smoking doing bad you walk away and avoid it. Why because you were raise and though that those things you don’t do you shouldn’t do not even because it’s cool. Don’t let anyone influence you to do bad things even though they constantly ask you too. It’s not worth it and especially if you know its common sense that you should do that.

Key 9: courage                                            
“The fear of failure is the single greatest reason for failure in life.”
What I believe this quote means is that if you think so much about failing something you will because that shows to prove that you don’t believe in yourself. If you don’t believe in yourself you don’t have confidence. Fearing to fail shouldn’t be the greatest reason for you to fail in life. You should always try even though you fail at times. Their okay to fail you learns from your mistakes you just have to try until you get it right. Failing shouldn’t be an option for you because in this world the only thing in your mind is to succeed.

key 10: confidence
"you only get confidence by doing things over and over again."
I love this key in so many ways. confidence to me I believe is the key of life. why? good question, if you have confidence everything is much easier, it lets you see the good in everything. being confident doesn't mean that you think that you are better then others but it makes you believe that you can achieve things that you thought where impossible. its also important to have confidence in yourself because it makes your self a stem way better, not only that you are a more positive person and when you take test you are being confident that you will have a good grade. self confidence is a really good thing. being ctr will boost up your confidence because you wont believe doing good is good you will do it from your heart.

“Habit 1 is the key to unlocking all the other habits and that’s why it comes first. It says, “I am the captain of my life. I can choose my attitude. I’m responsible for my own happiness or unhappiness. I am in the driver’s seat of my destiny, not just a passenger.”
REFLECTION: What this quote means is that being proactive is the main key. In other words that you choose what and what not to do the only person that has control of yourself is you. No one else makes decisions for you but yourself. You choose the way you want to live no one chooses it for you. If you want to be unhappy the rest of your life is because you decided to no one else did.
Habit 2: Begin with the end in mind

REFLECTION: what this quote means is that you have to be the one in top of the game. You have to be successful in life. For example if you are a boss at a job no one will tell you what to do. On the other hand, if you don’t do well in school and have a bad job someone else will tell you what to do. They will have control over you instead of you having control of yourself. You have to control your own destiny by setting big rules and meeting them. You have to be in charge of what you want to do when you are older. If you don’t become successful someone else will control your destiny. In other words people will tell you what and what not to do.

REFLECTION: what I think this quote and habit means is that you should always put the important things first and worry about the other later. Be organized about what your plans are and what is going to get done now. You should always put the important things first like for example school. There are things you have to sacrifice for you to get through situations. For instance what would you prefer go party now and have fun with your friends and not graduate or do something good later on for yourself in the future, or study do good in school successes go to college and have fun go to parties then. You should always think it like this do what will benefit you later on in life. You should always out your priorities first then anything else because sometimes you can’t go back and redo the mistakes you have done. If having a  book of goals to help you stay in track then I believe you should go for it because it’s really important to do good in school because that determines the job you will get later on in life.

REFLECTION:  what i think this quote means from the 7 habits is that you have to win and you will do so. thinking of winning in the terms of choosing the right like doing good things and accomplishing all your goals. Think win-win doesn't mean getting prizes or getting thinks it can mean to accomplish goals that you set for yourself.

Synergize is teamwork, open-mindedness, and the adventure of finding new solutions to old problems. But it doesn't just happen on its own. Like when they say two heads is better than one.  It’s a process, and through that process, people bring all their personal experience and expertise. Together, they can produce far better results that they could individually. It is the idea that the whole is greater than the sum of the parts. Teamwork is a good example to help clarify what this habit means. Teamwork is a good example because like I said two heads is better than one so that means more creativity and the other can think of some good ideas you wouldn’t think about. Or in class you guys all work as a team and do your part so you can gather everything up and make it as one.  When people begin to interact together genuinely, and they’re open to each other’s influence, they begin to gain new insight. It’s really important to be opened minded to understand others thoughts and ideas.  Another example of synergize can be in any sport like basketball you have to learn how to communicate and understand each other. By communicating I mean in the sense of working together to help score a goal.
